Both smooth frizz and add shine. A protein treatment focuses on strengthening weak, porous or damaged hair and lasts 3 to 5 months, from AED 475. Keratin gives the sleekest, straightest finish and lasts up to 6 months, from AED 420. Your specialist will recommend the right one at your consultation.
Is protein treatment the same as hair botox?
No. “Hair botox” is a marketing name some salons use for deep-conditioning or smoothing fillers – it does not contain botox. We do not offer a service called hair botox. If you want stronger, smoother hair, choose our protein treatment; for the straightest, longest-lasting smoothing, choose keratin; and for repairing colour or bleach damage, choose Olaplex.
Can I do a protein treatment on coloured or bleached hair?
Yes – coloured, highlighted and bleached hair often benefits most, because it tends to be porous and weak. For the best colour result, colour your hair before the protein treatment or wait about two weeks after it. Very fragile bleached hair may need an Olaplex treatment first.
When do I need a root protein touch-up?
When your new regrowth starts to feel frizzy or wavy while your lengths are still smooth. The touch-up treats only the roots, costs AED 330 and takes 1 to 1.5 hours, so you avoid re-treating hair that is already smooth.
Can I get a protein hair treatment at home in Dubai?
Yes. A female specialist brings the products, professional dryer and flat iron to your home, hotel or office anywhere in Dubai and the UAE. There is no home service fee; a minimum booking value may apply depending on your area.
Can I have a protein treatment while pregnant?
We recommend waiting until after pregnancy and breastfeeding for any smoothing treatment. Our Signature Hair Spa or an Olaplex treatment is a gentle alternative in the meantime.
